Idle time
You should check to see if you have Dial Up Networking configured to
disconnect after idle time.
- Double click on "My Computer:
- Double click on "Dial-Up Networking"
- Highlight "NCIA" (you may have named your dialer something else), then click "File" at the top of
the window and select "Properties". You should now be in your "NCIA" window.
- Click the "Configure" button at the bottom of the window.
- Click the "Connection" tab at the top of the window.
- Change the minutes in "Disconnect a call if idle more than" box to a higher number or simply uncheck
the check box next to it.
- Click "OK" at the bottom of this window, then click "OK" again at the bottom of the "NCIA" window.
- Close down the "DialUp Networking" window.
